Zachary Honey

For a long time I have enjoyed telling stories and have written scripts for film and stage along with short fiction. I like telling a fully developed tightly contained story in a very short space and have become particularly interested in writing short and flash fiction. I also dabble a bit in poetry.

Recently, I have been featured in The Miracle of Love at Christmas: An Anthology of Short Stories and Poetry, from BK Royston Publishing, and Southern Gothic: New Tales of the South, an anthology from New Lit Salon Press. Click on the book covers below to check out the books on Amazon.

During Jr at MSU I wrote a one-act play and was given the opportunity to direct it and see it come to life on the stage. It was featured alongside five other student produced one-act plays for one weekend  in the MSU Black Box Theater.

This was the first year in which all six performances were student written and directed.

To promote the MSU philosophy club's weekly discussions, the Philosophy A-Z Lecture Series, I teamed up with Shelby Rogala to write and perform a few short radio promos. They are still up on Gallatin Community Radio's website and you can listen to them here.
